Ambush : A Story of Life & Death

Along the sandy shoreline of a body of water we will call a pond but you could say lake ? I witnessed an intriguing story developing that I want to share with you all. I happened upon a variety of flowers along the shore. On this on particular Oxeye Daisy (Leucanthemum vulgare) I found something going on. Let me show you :

It Waits : Pennsylvania Ambush Bug (Phymata pennsylvanica) ready to pounce on a Oxeye Daisy at the Bill Mason Centre, Dunrobin, Ontario, Canada. #Predator #Canada

Canon EOS M100 EF-M28mm f/3.5 MACRO IS STM, ƒ/4.0 28.0 mm 1/200 100 Flash (off, did not fire)

It Kills :Pennsylvania Ambush Bug (Phymata pennsylvanica) ambush of prey on a Daisy at the Bill Mason Centre, Dunrobin, Ontario, Canada. #Predator #Prey #Canada

Canon EOS M100 EF-M28mm f/3.5 MACRO IS STM, ƒ/5.6 28.0 mm 1/1000 200 Flash (off, did not fire)

So anywho, that's my story & I'm sticking to it. Be careful of what lies in wait when you are most vulnerable. It might want to chew off your head !!
